I just caught myself in one of those character-introduction scenes. You know, the one where they follow the character home from work and show how lonely and pathetic they are?
Empty apartment. Prepared dinner for myself. Sitting at the table to eat it, napkin on my lap. I chastised myself on my posture and sat a little straighter. All while Harry Connick Jr. sings The Way You Look Tonight.
Ridiculous.
But I’m not pathetic and lonely! Sara just got here and we’re going downtown. So there.
