Items of Note:
More natural light! It’s nice and bright ALL day long.
Vintage metal “Meteor Coffee” sign.
Black and gold State of Michigan tray.
Gnomey salt n pepper shakers.
Red non-vintage clock. (It’s from Target. shhh!)
Rainbow measuring utensils from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Old-school trivets for spoons n stuff.
The only problem we’ve encountered is that there is no ventilation. Almost every time we cook, we set off the fire alarm mounted 10ft up in the hallway and the whole house smells like bacon!
But I do really like our kitchen. I just haven’t had a whole lot of time to spend in here. I need to get some real ingredients soon and cook some stuff up.
Items of Note:
We actually have a table and four chairs! We can actually have a sit down meal if we want to! Our landlord found some old floral curtains and asked if we wanted them. The pattern is really great, so we’re hoping to use the fabric to re-cover the chairs at some point.
The Bar: I didn’t include the full photo, but we’ve got an armoire full of dishes and table linens that’s topped off with a bar on top. Pictured is a little vintage mixer set that Sam and Laura gave me.
A set of cheery yellow tea cups that I got from a vintage seller downtown (if I could remember her name, I would link it).
Window ledge friends: Abby’s girl and boy figurines and my floral ducks.
(I also forgot to take a photo of the pair of owls hanging up on the opposite side of the room. whoops! They’re cute.)
